The Effects of Biotin in Hair Loss
Biotin is referred to the group of vitamins, which is used to maintain metabolism and connected with it hair, skin and nail problems. Biotin or B-vitamin helps people treat hair loss, keep skin and nail in healthy condition. The recommended dose of Biotin is 2mg per day. Biotin is a natural nutritional supplement, which is rich in such food like soy, milk, egg yolks, liver, kidneys, poultry, cauliflower, bananas, watermelon, peas, nuts, beans and in some other products. By the way, besides the treatment of hair loss, B-vitamin can control high level of cholesterol as well as growth of cells.
In spite of positive effects of Biotin in maintenance of hair growth, it doesn’t give 100% effective. For better results it is recommended to use other B-vitamins with Biotin such as choline, frolic acid, vitaminB1, vitaminB2, vitaminB6, and vitamin B12. Nowadays, there are also some shampoos based on biotin to stimulate hair growth.
People with Biotin deficiency can have nausea, depression, and anorexia. Although Biotin is a herbal nutritional product, it is not approved by FDA, that is why it is better to consult dermatologist before taking Biotin. Be careful to take Biotin with other medicines.
